Victoria Snaith

Folktale Author

Lorefest is thrilled to announce we will be working with award-winning author, Victoria Snaith, to publish the first curated collection of Bryan-College Station stories. Victoria has worked with Lorefest since we started and has helped with storytelling, puppet-making, the first ghost walk, and much more, giving her an excellent insight into the Lorefest mission and the folklore we've collected. She's also a professional playwright, theatre director, scriptwriter, and novelist, so who better to help bring the folktales of the BCS area to life!

The book project will curate a number of hyper local stories which Victoria will weave into exciting fiction that reflects the rich culture of the Brazos Valley, as well as scholarly background information on the stories for those interested in the  more academic side of folklore studies. The book is slated to be published to align with the Lorefest 2026 event and conference, and will be available in hard copies and digitally locally and online.
